The DJB piezo-electric accelerometers
-
DJB is patentor of the konic accelerometer,
based on a piezo-electric element in the form of a truncated hollow cone. This method
offers advantages such as a better reliability, and gives a higher sensitivity in a
smaller unit when compared with a compressive type.
-
Piezo-ceramic shear plate technology is also now used since
offering even higher miniaturisation advantages, and sensitivity enhancement by virtue of
parallel plate construction.
-
Piezo-tronic accelerometers integrate charge/voltage
converter and are energised from a constant current source, they generate a low impedance,
noise immune voltage output.
-
Industrial, high temperature, pressure tested and
Intrinsically safe accelerometers are available.
