GENERAL
Micron's Model MPT101 is a small diameter, high-stability (water/liquid level) pressure/temperature transducer that automatically compensates for line resistance and power supply changes. This transducer is made of corrosive resistant titanium (6AL4V) and utilizes high reliability bulk type semi-conductor strain gages and temperature sensors bonded directly to the inside surface of the machined diaphragm.
This sensor is especially suited for applications where the input resistance to the transducer can vary due to temperature-induced line resistance changes. The MPT101 automatically corrects itself for these changes. With a diameter of only 0.375 inches, the transducer can easily be installed in holes of a half inch in diameter or greater. Transducers are available with cable lengths up to 1000 feet; greater lengths are possible through splicing.
At the cable exit, titanium armor is provided to improve cable pull strength while retaining a liquid seal. A moisture insulator located near the end of the cable is available and eliminates inter-conductor condensation. |
